Action 4 Health Uganda (A4HU) has appointed Teamup Uganda’s Program Director, Sarah Kintu as their new Chief Executive Officer.
Sarah has worked on issues of promoting and protecting Human Rights with a strong focus on inclusive social and economic rights. Over the years, she has consolidated her skills in Organizational Leadership.
Sarah Kintu is a dynamic, self-motivated professional with key qualifications relevant to Programme management and overall coordination.
She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Human Relations Studies (MA . LHRS) from Makerere University- Uganda; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences (Social administration and Sociology) from Makerere University; a post-graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute (UMI).
Action 4 Health Uganda (A4HU) is a youth empowerment organization dedicated to mainstreaming young people’s engagement in socio-economic development and promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). We are a locally registered NGO in Uganda.
A4HU advocates for the prioritization and provision of health services for young people at the national and sub-national level by supporting the establishment of a supportive socio-cultural, political and legal environment that protects young people’s rights, and enables them to access health information, education, and services that are gender sensitive and youth friendly.
A4HU empowers young people to advocate for improved SRH services, socio-economic opportunities through engaging and influencing decision-making processes. This is done through capacity development, civic education, mentorship, and advocacy.
For the effectiveness and efficiency of its intervention models, the organization supports youth empowerment Centres (YECs) and youth clubs in leadership and organisational development, group management, life skills, and sexuality education, as well as entrepreneurship and business development.
